Village School-Admissions

Village School welcomes applicants for transitional kindergarten through incoming sixth graders. Please tour our site and complete the information request form to receive information about us. We will send you a brochure and application form. Thank you!

All applications for the next school year are due no later than December 1st. We accept applications only one year in advance.
Four Open Houses are held each year in the fall for prospective parents. The Open Houses for 2009-2010 admission will be held on October 1, 22, November 5 and 19 at 9:30am (lasting approximately 2 hours).

The Open house dates above are for children who will begin school September 2009. If your child will not be ready to start school until 2010 or later, but you would like to plan ahead, please feel free to come to our "Too Young" Open House to get a sense of who we are. Too Young Open House will be held December 3, 2009.

The School assesses each child's readiness through a school visit and an evaluation form from the child's previous school.
School visits for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants are small group sessions scheduled on a Saturday morning during January and February. TK and Kindergarten applicants will be notified of the visit date and will be asked to call to schedule a parent interview.
Parent interviews are scheduled from November through February.
Applicants for Grades 1 through 6 visit during a normal school day and these visits are scheduled on an individual basis. Every effort is made to schedule the parent interview at the same time as the student visit.
Although no applicant is guaranteed admission, siblings who qualify receive preference. Applicants will be notified of admissions decisions for the coming year in late March.
