Community
Service is an ongoing and integral part of the Village School experience. Our
students appreciate the sense of community at school, and they view service outside
of school as necessary and natural. Some community service projects, such as Heal
the Bay, originate in a particular grade level, but welcome the participation
of all members of the Village School community. Children come to understand that
they can make a difference and therefore, they feel connected to the larger world. Some
