UNIT 2 - Decimals

In Unit 2, students reviewed and learned to add, subtract, multiply and divide with decimals. Students were also introduced to scientific notation and exponential notation. Sixth graders bid farewell to remainders as they practiced dividing decimals, both with rounding and repeating bars. Below are links to reinforce and extend concepts covered in unit 2.

This site will let you review of powers of 10 and includes scientific notation. A cool feature allows you to roll your mouse over the problem to see if you’re right.

Math Unit 1

UNIT 1 - Collection, Display, and Interpretation of Data

In the first unit, students learn to become producers and critics of data and data displays. They will learn how to create and interpret several different types of graphs and how data can be displayed in a persuasive fashion. Below are links to reinforce and extend concepts covered in unit 1.
